Holiday sketches

 I did some sketching (pencil & paper!) today at the park, then decided to add some digi-colour love afterwards. Really enjoyed this..

Here's a couple of facts you didnt want/need to know:
- The old man in the middle was an old guy at the park, who was getting angry cause his neighbour was bbq'ing, and the smoke was going up and into the old man's apartment. 'Grumpy Old Pants' I call him.
- I really like drawing ears - anatomically correct or not.
- 'Rat Man' at the bottom of the page was not cool enough for colour.

Todays experiment: Trying to get more confident with solid values

Playing around with presentation.. I'd really like to try something other than realistic-render-town, which I do more than enough of with work (those bricks dont look real! Render! RENDERRR!).

I definitely need to do more characters.. this took much longer than it looks. Refreshing though!

I really wanted to put some characters in this pic, then I realized how much I hate drawing people (I'll have to do something about that I think..), so I figured I'd just post both pics. Plus it makes it look like I've done more - yay!

Trying to get better with my colours.. hmmm. Perspective is way off and theres tons of stuff I want to fix, but I'll do that later (prob never!)

Post this! Been a little uninspired the last few months and figured I should take a break, get into some other creative biz - like photography - and yes, even move country while I'm at it. But I'm back! And I even managed to do a little painting.
